Weather Forecast: Terrible turmoil in the Bay of Bengal, devastating depression moving forward, where has it reached and know what will happen to Gujarat | News India

The monsoon system forming in the Bay of Bengal will bring heavy rains in many states of India. The IMD i.e. Indian Meteorological Department informed on Sunday that the depression (Baavadab) is about 70 km south-southeast of Puri, 140 km east-southeast of Gopalpur, 170 km south of Paradip, 170 km south of Chandbali, 240 km east of Kalingapatnam and 290 km south-southwest of Digha in Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal.

After crossing the coast between Puri and Digha by Monday afternoon, it is very likely to move towards Jharkhand and adjoining north Chhattisgarh during the next two days, the IMD said in a bulletin.

Where is the forecast of rain
Heavy to very heavy rain (with 20 cm) and very heavy rain at some places is expected in Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal districts on Monday. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for these five districts. The IMD has also predicted rain in many districts of the state on Tuesday and Wednesday.

An orange alert has been issued for Ganjam, Koraput, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Sambalpur, Angul and Nayagarh districts on Monday.

The authorities have issued a yellow alert for the districts of Gajapati, Rajgarh, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Bhadrak.

Heavy rains are expected in West Bengal's Paschim Mednipur, Jhargram, Bankura, Purulia, Paschim Bardhaman, South 24 Parganas, Hooghly, Nadia, Murshidabad and Birbhum districts till September 12. Light to moderate rains are also expected in Kolkata and adjoining Howrah and Hooghly districts, the weather department said.

In other states
Coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Yanam may receive light to moderate rain on September 9. Along with this, torrential rain is also expected at many places. Southern parts of Chhattisgarh may receive rain on Monday. Along with this, there is a possibility of rain in the northern parts till September 10 i.e. Tuesday. Many parts of Telangana will receive light to moderate rain. Southern parts of Jharkhand may receive heavy to very heavy rain on September 10-11. While light to moderate rain is expected in Vidarbha on Monday.

What is the forecast for Gujarat
Meteorologist Ambalal Patel has predicted that the state is likely to receive rain till September 10. The remnants of the severe storm that hit South China on September 9 and 10 will reach the Bay of Bengal. This will create a deep depression. It is likely to strengthen in East Gujarat and Central Gujarat by September 12 and 13. There is a possibility of heavy rain due to change in the weather of Gujarat from September 12-13. Western Viksha will come on September 15-16-17. There will be heavy rain in Gujarat from 22 to 25. There is a possibility of rain with thunder in Gujarat from September 27. A rain system will be formed in Surya Chitra Nakshatra from October 9 to 10. On October 16 to 17, the moon will remain covered with dark clouds throughout the night, so there is a possibility of heavy turbulence in the sea.
