Doda, 14 September (HS). Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in an election rally on Saturday that we will create a safe Jammu and Kashmir. This election will decide the fate of Jammu and Kashmir. Modi said that he will repay your love and blessings by working harder for the country. We all together will create a safe and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir, this is Modi's guarantee.
Prime Minister Modi fiercely targeted Congress, National Conference and PDP in the election rally of Doda. He said that three political families of Jammu and Kashmir ruined the state. He said that the families turned a blind eye to terrorism for selfish reasons. Till now 'parivarvaad' did not allow the youth to come forward and that is why after coming to power in 2014, he has tried to bring forward the new leadership of the youth in Jammu and Kashmir. Then in 2018, Panchayat elections were held here, BDC elections were held in 2019 and DDC elections were held for the first time in 2020 so that democracy reaches the grassroots level in Jammu and Kashmir. This time the assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir is between three families and the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. One family is of Congress, one family is of National Conference and one family is of PDP. What these three families have done to you people in Jammu and Kashmir is no less than a sin.
Senior BJP leader Modi said that since independence, our beloved Jammu and Kashmir became the target of foreign powers. After this, nepotism started hollowing out this beautiful state. The political parties you trusted here did not care about your children. They only promoted their own children. The youth of Jammu and Kashmir kept suffering in terrorism and the parties promoting nepotism kept enjoying themselves. These people never allowed new leadership to emerge anywhere, ever in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that taking forward this trust of yours, BJP has taken many resolutions for you. Today we have remembered Teeka Lal Taploo, paid tribute to him. It has been more than three decades, on this day he was martyred by terrorists. After his murder, an endless series of atrocities against Kashmiri Pandits continued. It is the BJP, which raised the voice of Kashmiri Pandits and worked in their interest. BJP has announced the Teeka Lal Taploo Yojana for the return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus. This will accelerate the process of getting Kashmiri Hindus their rights.
It is noteworthy that the BJP is contesting all 43 assembly seats in the Jammu division. The BJP had 25 MLAs in the previous Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. Prime Minister Modi is also expected to visit the valley on September 19 when he will address another election rally of the BJP in Srinagar city. Voting for the 90 seats of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly will be held in three phases – September 18, 25 and October 1. The counting of votes will take place on October 8. Assembly elections are being held in Jammu and Kashmir after 10 years and this is the first election after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A.
