Delhi Assembly Elections: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has made a big announcement regarding the assembly elections to be held in Delhi in February. Kejriwal posted on his X account on Wednesday that AAP will contest the elections alone in Delhi, with no possibility of an alliance with Congress.
Earlier there were rumors of alliance between Congress and AAP
Earlier it was reported that the agreement regarding alliance between Congress and AAP is in the final stages. Congress may get 15 seats and other Indian alliance members may get 1 or 2 seats. Aam Aadmi Party itself will contest the remaining seats. But now AAP has made the picture clear that Aam Aadmi Party will contest the elections alone in Delhi.
AAP announces to contest elections alone in Delhi
A meeting was held between the leaders of India on Tuesday night regarding the alliance. After this, on Wednesday Kejriwal has announced to contest the elections alone. All parties have intensified preparations for Delhi Assembly elections. Aam Aadmi Party announced its list of 20 candidates on Monday (December 9). Earlier, AAP announced its first list of 11 candidates.
AAP created history in 2015 elections
In the 2015 assembly elections in Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party won 67 out of 70 seats, while BJP won only three seats. The special thing is that Congress did not get a single seat in Delhi, whereas in the 2020 assembly elections, AAP won 62 out of 70 seats, while Bharatiya Janata Party won 8 seats and Congress’s account was not even opened. Now what remains to be seen is that if Congress contests the elections alone this time too, how many seats will it get?
