Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has spoiled relations with India by accusing India of having a hand in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada.

Even after all this time, Trudeau could not provide evidence that India had a hand in the murder, but he continued to complain that India had a hand in the matter.

Trudeau has once again said that the government should take seriously the murder of a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil and we have taken this murder seriously. It is a credible allegation that Indian agents were involved in the murder and we have not taken the entire matter lightly. My government has a responsibility to protect Canadians from illegal actions by the governments of other countries.

He further said that the Government of Canada wants to ensure that the Nijjar murder case is properly investigated. We stand ready to work constructively with India to get to the root of the Nijjar killings. My government is working to ensure that interference from other countries does not threaten the security of Canadian citizens

A few days before Trudeau's statement, footage of Nijjar's murder has surfaced. Nijjar was shot dead near a gurudwara in Canada in June last year.
