We removed the points, raising the slogan ‘Allahu Akbar’

Mumbai – The wife of Kaustubh Ganboote, a person killed in Pahalgam, said that seeing the attackers for namaz, we immediately took out the dot from our forehead and started chanting the slogan of Allahu Akbar. Despite trying to hide his religious identity, the terrorists did not spare the woman’s husband and friend.

Sangeeta Ganbotte, wife of Kaustubh Ganbote, who was shot dead by terrorists in Pune, said that a local Muslim person faced the attackers and asked why they were killing innocent people. After this, the terrorists took off his clothes and shot him.

When NCP (SPP) chief Sharad Pawar met the members of the bereaved family, Sangeeta Ganbote narrated her heartbreaking experience. Pawar paid tribute to the departed soul.

Apart from Kaustubh, his friend Santosh Jagdale also died in this attack. Both went to hang out with their family.

The terrorists stopped him at Basaron in Pahalgam and started asking him questions related to religion.

The terrorists were urging everyone to give azan. When my husband’s friend Jagdale was called by the terrorists and asked if he could give azan. Sangeeta Ganbotte said that after this all the women of the group immediately removed the dot from their foreheads and started chanting “Allahu Akbar”, but the terrorists killed Jagdale and Ganboot and fled. She could not stop her tears.
