Arvind Kejriwal CM post removed: A request was made in the Supreme Court to remove Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from the post of Chief Minister. In which the Supreme Court rejected this demand and said that after the arrest of Kejriwal, there is no legal right to demand his removal from the post of Chief Minister. It was appealed in the petition that, 'Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested in the Delhi liquor case. In such a situation, he should be removed from the post of CM.
The Supreme Court had recently granted interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal till June 1 in view of the Lok Sabha elections. However, Kejriwal himself and other AAP leaders have repeatedly said that he will continue on the post of Chief Minister. At present the court has rejected this application.

The court rejected this petition at a time when the Supreme Court had recently granted interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal till June 1 in view of the Lok Sabha elections. The Supreme Court has granted him interim bail with 5 conditions. However, many times Kejriwal himself and other AAP leaders have said that he will continue on the post of Chief Minister. This is the reason why he did not resign even after his arrest.
An application was also filed in the High Court
Earlier, when this petition was filed in the High Court, the High Court had rejected it saying that an attempt was being made to involve the court in a political matter. Along with this, the court also ordered the petitioner to pay Rs. A fine of Rs 50 thousand was also imposed, after which the matter went to the Supreme Court.
We cannot interfere- Supreme Court
While hearing the case in the Supreme Court, the bench of Justices Sanjeev Khanna and Dipankar Dutta said that if the Lieutenant Governor wants, he can investigate the matter but we cannot interfere. The court said, how can we take a decision in this matter? No legal rights. LG can take action if he wants.
