Varanasi, 19 November (HS). The 189th birth anniversary of the country’s first female warrior, Maharani Lakshmibai ‘Manu’, was celebrated with great pomp at her birthplace Bhadaini on Sunday. In the ceremony organized on the joint initiative of social organization Jagriti Foundation and Maharani Lakshmibai Birth Place Memorial Committee, the bravery and sacrifice of the Queen was saluted under the leadership of the chief guest, former Chairman of Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust and Chairman of Kashi Ritual Trust Council, Acharya Pandit Ashok Dwivedi. . During this, Acharya Ashok Dwivedi said that the queen of Jhansi was the daughter of Kashi. And we are proud that she was from our locality. Today I feel proud to be at his birthplace.

We cannot describe in words the invaluable contribution he made in the freedom struggle. The country became independent today only by following the path shown by Rani Laxmibai. Litterateur Dr. Jaiprakash Mishra paid his tribute to the Queen by reciting powerful poems. Swami Adrishanand Maharaj, who came from America, said that Maharani Lakshmi Bai, while refusing to surrender before the British in Jhansi, had said that she will not give her Jhansi to anyone while she is alive. The result of that was that our country became independent today and we are openly Breathing in the air.

Mahant Vikas Dubey of Durga Temple said that we have to follow the paths shown by the Queen. Today’s generation should be informed about the Queen. And only then a patriotic generation will be born in the country. In the program, Swarn Pratap Chaturvedi, Raghavendra Pandey, doctor Dr. VK Singh and General Secretary of the Foundation Ramyash Mishra started the ceremony by garlanding the statue of the Queen and lighting the lamp. During this, the people participating in the program appealed to the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Railway Minister Ashwin Vaishnav and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to run Veerangana Express in the name of Maharani Lakshmi Bai. Speakers said that there should be a new train named after the Queen, Veerangana Express. If the new train cannot be run, then the name of Bundelkhand Express going from Varanasi to Bundelkhand should be changed to Veerangana Express. This train goes from the birthplace of the Queen to the place of her martyrdom. Therefore its name should be Veerangana Express. The vote of thanks was jointly presented by Vishwanath Yadav and Satyanshu Joshi.
