Dharamshala, 05 November (Hindustan Reporter). Anand Malligavad, popularly known as Lakeman of India, said that natural resources will be used instead of modern technology to stop the leakage of water in Dal Lake of Dharamshala. While holding a meeting on the issue of Dal Lake with the district administration and officials of various departments and members of the hotel association in the auditorium of the District Collector's office on Tuesday, Malligavad said that the leakage of Dal Lake will be stopped 100 percent. For this, he inspected the lake area with the district administration, hoteliers and local people for about three hours last Monday.

He said that to stop the leakage of the lake, other natural resources including soil and round stones will be used. The soil used will attract water to prevent seepage naturally. This will prevent damage to the lake. The work will be done in such a way that there is no water leakage for the next 50 years.

He told that during the inspection of this lake, cedar leaves stuck in the water, local things or clothes left here while bathing in the lake, reaching the depth of the water can also be the reason for the leakage of the lake. By making steps with soil on the banks of the lake and lining the bottom with soil, leakage of water will be stopped. This will not harm the depth of the lake. Also, instead of water coming from the trees above, work will be done to send the clean water to the lake by making holes. However, for this there will be no need to tamper with natural water. Tampering with natural water can also stop the flow of water.
