The region received good rain at night. This rain has occurred in six tehsils of the district, some more and some less. Nagari tehsil received the highest rainfall of 87.8 mm and Kurud received the lowest rainfall of only 2.5 mm. Whereas there has been no rain in Bhakhara tehsil.
Due to good rainfall in Nagari area, water has started flowing in Dudhwa and Sondhur dams of the area. After this rain, Kharif farming will gain momentum in the region. At night, except for Bhkhara tehsil of the district, good rainfall has occurred in Dhamtari, Kurud, Magarlod, Nagari, Kukrel and Belargaon tehsils. Due to rain, water filled the pits along with streets and roads. Water filled the empty plots of some colonies of Dhamtari city. Eklavya sports ground was filled with water. Similarly, the thirst of the fields has been quenched due to water filling in the fields and barns. Due to good rainfall in Nagari tehsil, water has started flowing in Dudhwa and Sondhur dams of the area. Although the amount of water is very less, but due to this year's rain, the inflow of water in the dams has started.
The inflow of water has not started in Gangrel and Murumsilli. Now these dams are also waiting for their thirst to be quenched with the start of inflow of water with heavy rains. Currently, Gangrel dam has only 6.25 TMC water, which is very less. The condition of Murumsilli dam is not good. Sondhur and Dudhwa dams have 1.25 TMC water. These dams are also waiting for heavy rains to quench their thirst. On June 28, 32.3 mm rainfall was recorded in Dhamtari tehsil, 2.5 mm in Kurud, 16.1 mm in Magarlod, and the highest 87.8 mm rainfall was recorded in Nagari. At the same time, 29 mm rainfall was recorded in Kukrel and 15.8 mm in Belargaon tehsil. While there has been no rain in Bhakhara tehsil. In this way, a total average rainfall of 125 mm has been recorded in the district since June 1. Due to good rains in the region, farming in the Kharif season will gain momentum. After the land becomes wet and filled with water, sowing and transplantation will now go on at a faster pace. Farmers and labourers will now be seen in the fields most of the time.
