Kathmandu, July 13 (HS). Even after 32 hours of two passenger buses drowning in the fast flowing Trishuli river due to landslide in Nepal, no clue has been found. Rescue operation has been started once again from Saturday morning. When both the buses and the missing 65 passengers could not be traced even after a whole day's effort on Friday, new technology is being used for rescue operation from today. This accident happened in Simaltal area on Narayanghat-Mugling road of Chitwan district.
DIG Purushottam Thapa of Armed Police Force Rescue Team, who is commanding the rescue operation, told media persons that water drones and sonar cameras are being used in today's rescue operation. Water drones used underwater are being used. With the help of drones, not only can the depths of the river be reached, but also search far away. Sonar cameras are being used to find buses and missing passengers. This camera has been installed under the motorboat and lowered into the water so that the rescue team sitting on the boat can see the things under the water on the screen. The rescue team hopes that the bus and passengers can be found with the use of water drones and sonar cameras.
In today's rescue operation, apart from water drones, divers have also been sent into the water. 15 divers of Nepal Army and Armed Police Force have been sent into the river. Apart from this, expert team of disaster management has also been engaged in this work. The rescue team has 150 members of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police.
