It was also reported that Khanapara received 132 mm of rain in 90 minutes on Monday. This is about 20-25% of the total rainfall in the city during the monsoon season. Apart from this, Assam Minister Ashok Singhal has blamed the water coming from the neighboring state of Meghalaya for the severe floods in Guwahati.
