Israel vs Hezbollah: Hezbollah, the extremist group fighting against Israel, has elected its new commander. Just last month, its commander Nasrallah was killed by Israel and now Commander Naeem Qasim will take his place. There was a discussion going on for a long time that Nasrallah could be replaced by Naeem Qasim, which has now been confirmed. Not only this, it is being said that he is currently hiding in Iran. Due to fear of Israeli attack, he is staying somewhere in Tehran and is giving command to Hezbollah from there. Nasrallah was killed in a deadly Israeli attack in Beirut on 27 September.
Hezbollah issued a statement saying that 'Naeem Qasim has been elected chief by the Shura Council. He was working as the deputy chief of Hezbollah since 1991. He has also served as a spokesman for Hezbollah for a long time. He has also been managing Hezbollah's propaganda machinery. Naeem Qasim has given many interviews to foreign media and has emerged as the face of Hezbollah against Israel. Now Hezbollah has again intensified its activities by handing over command to him.
On September 27, Hezbollah commander Nasrallah was killed. At the same time, Israel also killed another commander of Hezbollah, Hashem Safideen. He was also seen as Nasrallah's successor but now Naeem Qasim has got the command. After Nasrallah's death, Naeem Qasim also addressed the media three times. He had said in a speech on October 8 that 'I also support ceasefire. So that the people of Lebanon can be protected.
It is noteworthy that Israel has still not agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza or Lebanon. He is continuously attacking both the countries.
