Lohardaga, March 16 (Hindustan Reporter) On Saturday, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Dr. Waghmare Prasad Krishna held a press conference in the Collectorate Hall regarding the Lok Sabha Elections-2024. The Deputy Commissioner said that as soon as the dates of Lok Sabha elections were announced, the Model Code of Conduct has been implemented in the entire area.
There are 5 flying squads and as many static surveillance teams to ensure compliance with the Model Code of Conduct. There are 65 sector officers and 65 sector police officers. The first phase of training is being given to the officials and personnel related to polling deputed for the elections. Minimum basic facilities have been provided at polling stations. Wherever complaints of deficiencies are coming, they are being rectified.
As per the announced dates, election notification will be issued on 18th April. Nominations will be filled till 25th April. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on 26th April. There will be time to withdraw nominations till 29th April. Voting will take place at all 428 polling stations on May 13. Votes will be counted on June 4. There are a total of 3, 66,112 (three lakh sixty-six thousand one hundred and twelve) voters in the district, of which the number of female voters is 1,84,320 and the number of male voters is 1,81,792.
During this, Superintendent of Police Haris Bin Jama, Deputy Development Commissioner Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat, Additional Collector Jitendra Munda, Deputy Election Officer, District Public Relations Officer Shivanandan Badaik and others were present.
