Voting for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 is today. In this phase, voting is taking place in 58 parliamentary constituencies of 8 states/union territories. Voting is mainly taking place in Haryana and Delhi in this phase. Voting started at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm.

The 58 seats on which voting is being held today include all 7 seats in Delhi, 14 seats in UP, 8 seats in Bihar, 8 seats in West Bengal, 10 seats in Haryana, 4 seats in Jharkhand, 6 seats in one seat in Odisha and one seat in Jammu and Kashmir. It may be noted that 62.2% voting was recorded in the fifth phase of voting. Voting has been completed in five phases for 428 seats in 25 states and union territories. After the sixth phase of voting today, the seventh phase of voting will be held on June 1 and then June 4 will be the day of results.
The fate of these candidates will be decided
The fate of 162 candidates including former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi, Trinamool Congress' Lalitesh Pati Tripathi and Bhojpuri film actor Dineshlal Yadav Nirahua will be sealed today. In the sixth phase, three Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Krishan Pal Singh Gurjar and Rao Indrajit Singh are in the fray. Three former Chief Ministers Mehbooba Mufti, Manohar Lal Khattar and Jagdambika Pal are also in the fray. Apart from this, Manoj Tiwari, Naveen Jindal, Bansuri Swaraj, Sambit Patra, Raj Babbar are also trying their luck. According to the Election Commission, 889 candidates are contesting in the sixth phase. Out of which 797 are male and 92 are female candidates.
