In the meeting of District Bar Association on Thursday, Bar President and Senior Advocate Rakesh Verma and General Secretary Advocate Bachani Lal announced the upcoming election program on completion of one year of the District Bar Association. Announcing the election, he said that the election process will start from September 22 and will continue till November 29. Voting will be held on November 28 in the 70-day election process.
District Bar President Rakesh Verma said that for the first time an organization has worked for the whole year without going on strike. The joint accounts and work of the Bar Association were presented before the advocates. Work was done without any discrimination with pure intentions. The election process was proposed on 4 September but it was postponed due to the death of General Secretary Bachani Lal's son in an accident. After a 13-day mourning program, the announcement is being made today on 19 September.
Regarding the upcoming election program, he told that membership campaign will run from 22 September to 23 October, final voting list will be published on 28 October, objections to the final list will be filed from 29 to 30 October. The objections will be disposed of on 5 October. The final voting list will be published on 6 October. Nomination papers will be filed on 7 and 8 November. Nomination papers will be scrutinized on 11 November. Withdrawal of nomination papers and publication of candidate list will be done on 13 November. 28 November has been declared as the date of voting while counting of votes will take place on 29 November.
