Voters were made aware by visiting three Panchayats of the district through Sweep Cell

Kishanganj, 20 April (Hindustan Reporter). As per the instructions of District Election Officer cum District Magistrate Tushar Singla, the Sweep Cell is making voters aware by visiting various Panchayats under the district.

In this sequence, on Saturday, three Panchayats of the district were visited where there was low voting percentage in the last assembly elections. These included Sunderbari Panchayat (58.13 percent), Teghariya Panchayat (58.16 percent) and Sontha Panchayat (59.29 percent).

Made the general public aware about voting by visiting the said Panchayats. Addressing the Jeevika Didis, Asha Didis, Anganwadi Sevikas and BLOs present in the meeting, Sweep Cell’s Nodal Officer Mohd. Minhajuddin, understanding the importance of the people in democracy, told them that the more participation there is in democracy, the stronger the democracy will be.

DPO ICDS Jaya Mishra, present in the meeting, said that the government has made all arrangements for voting. Appealing to the women, he said that just as they take up the responsibility of the house, they should also ensure their participation in democracy. He should also vote himself and inspire all the people in and around his house to vote for the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 on 26th April.

He also told that keeping in mind the summer season, everyone should drink sufficient amount of water before voting and try to cast their vote early in the morning. The Sweep Nodal Officer requested all the members of the public present to be ready to vote.

He said that he should keep the documents required for voting at one place today itself so that he does not face any problem in voting on 26th April. At the end, the program was concluded by taking oath by all the officials, employees and general public present. Bai
