Voters above 85 years of age and disabled voters voted from home

Lohardaga, 4 November (Hindustan Reporter). On Monday, voters above 85 years of age and disabled (more than 40 percent) took advantage of the home voting facility provided by the Election Commission under the Assembly General Election, 2024 and voted through postal ballot while staying at their homes. During this time, voters were provided facilities and supported by the home voting team formed on the instructions of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Lohardaga Dr. Waghmare Prasad Krishna. After reaching the homes of the identified voters, the first polling officer, second polling officer, micro observer, BLO, on behalf of the team, completed the voting process and during this, the guidelines given by the Commission were followed.

A total of 11 teams have been formed in the district to conduct home voting. In this, three teams are for Municipal Council area, one team for Kairo block, one team for Kudu block, one team each for 72-Lohardaga assembly constituency in Bhandara block and 69-Bishunpur assembly constituency, two teams in Sadar block Lohardaga, one team in Kisko block. And a team has been formed for 69-Bishunpur assembly constituency in Senha block.
