Kathua 23 October (HIST). Honor cum certificate distribution ceremony was organized by the NSS unit of GDC Mahanpur. Who had participated in a one-week winter camp in the past months.
The function was organized under the supervision of College Principal Professor Sangeeta Sudan and organized by NSS Program Officer Dr Rupali Jasrotia. The program started with the lighting of the lamp by the college principal and faculty members. NSS Program Officer Dr. Rupali Jasrotia delivered the welcome address. In his address he not only appreciated the hard work of NSS volunteers but also motivated them to participate in activities helpful in nation building. College Principal Professor Sangeeta Sudan was the chief guest of the occasion.
He congratulated the NSS Committee for organizing such programmes, activities and camps. Further, he highlighted the impact of NSS not only in personality and character development through selfless service but also in identifying and nurturing the raw talent of the students. Certificates of participation were distributed to all the 50 NSS volunteers along with the faculty members by Chief Guest Professor Sangeeta Sudan. These volunteers had performed exceptionally well. Besides this, the volunteers representing the college in various inter-college competitions were also honored with trophies and gift hampers by the dignitaries. Other faculty members of the college were also present on this occasion.
