Lucknow, 22 October (HS). A 15-member team from Uttar Pradesh will participate in the upcoming National Track Cycling Championship. Vivek Kumar Rai of Lucknow has also got a place in the team. The trial for the selection of Uttar Pradesh Track Cycling Team was organized on 20th October at Entry No. 2 of Trans Ganga City, Unnao. Uttar Pradesh Cycling Association Secretary RK Gupta said that the 76th Senior, 53rd Junior and 39th Sub-Junior National Track Cycling Championships will be held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu from 15 to 19 November. He announced the Uttar Pradesh track cycling team. Lucknow Cycling Association Senior Vice President Dr. Anand Kishore Pandey and Secretary Anurag Vajpayee congratulated the selected players.
The names of the players selected in the team are as follows
In senior men category (19 years and above):- Vivek Kumar Rai- Lucknow, Veeresh Kumar-Hathras, Syed Burhan Ali-Moradabad, Sumit Gurjar-Agra, Anuj Kumar-Aligarh, Avinash Kumar-Kanpur. Senior Boys (17 to 18 years):- Sealed-Agra, Syed Khalid Baghi,-Moradabad
Sub Junior Boys (15 and 16 years) :- Rishabh – Kanpur Youth Boys (12 to 14 years) :- Surya Kumar Gupta – Mirzapur, Rajveer – Kanpur.
Senior Women (19 years and above) :- Rakhi Vishwakarma-Kanpur, Junior Women (17 and 18 years) :- Ankita Verma and Akanksha Verma-Ayodhya.
