All the stars have given strong performances in the series. Recently this series was criticized by a Pakistani doctor. Now Vivek Agnihotri has also reacted on Hiramandi. After giving excellent films like 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Bajirao Mastani', 'Ramleela', Sanjay Leela Bhansali has brought Hiramandi. In this series, Bhansali has shown the dresses, jewellery, sets and other things of celebrities in a very royal style. Apart from this, the story is royal but some people are not liking the portrayal of the life of a prostitute by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and have said that this is the weakest story of Bhansali till date. Vivek Agnihotri has also supported Pakistani users in this regard. On the criticism of a Pakistani doctor, Vivek Agnihotri said, 'I have not seen this show, but I have been to Hiramandi many times. Bollywood has a tendency to glamorize prostitution and red-light areas. Red light area is not a place of glamor or pride and it is very sad. Those who don't know this should watch Shyam Benegal's film Mandi.

He further said that at the same time we should also ask the question whether art gives us the freedom to glamorize human pain? Is it right to make films that depict the lives of slum dwellers with greatness and passion? Are slum dwellers shown as if they are going to attend Ambani's party?
