Vitul Kumar becomes the new Director General of CRPF, replacing Anish Dayal Singh.

The central government has appointed Vitul Kumar, a 1993 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, as the new Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Vitul Kumar will replace Anish Dayal Singh, who retires on December 31.

According to the government order, Vitul Kumar will hold the charge of CRPF Director General until the appointment of the next regular officer or until further orders.

    • Earlier, Vitul Kumar was posted as ADG Operations in CRPF Directorate in New Delhi.
