Vishnu Manchu’s big budget ‘Kannappa’ slow at the box office, will the budget be recovered?

Since its mega announcement last year, Vishnu Manchu’s much awaited film ‘Kannappa’, which has been in the headlines, is unable to meet expectations at the box office. This big budget film based on the story of Shiva devotee ‘Kannappa’ is moving at a slow pace in terms of earnings. The film did not make any special earning on the eighth day i.e. last Friday, due to which the film is facing a tough challenge in recovering its huge cost.

Friday’s earnings and total collections:

According to media reports, ‘Kannappa’ has done a business of only Rs 2.18 crore on its eighth day (Friday). It is considered a slow earning, especially when the film is made on such a big budget. With this new figure, the total collection of ‘Kannappa’ so far has increased to Rs 22.84 crore.

Cost and Challenge:

The construction budget of ‘Kannappa’ is said to be around Rs 100 crore. If we compare this earnings to the budget of the film, then it is clear that the film has been able to recover a very small portion of its cost. It has to be a long way to go to a hit. At this slow pace, the question arises whether the film will be able to recover its big budget and earn profit?

The film ‘Kannappa’ is based on mythology and includes a large army of artists, including stars like Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal in cameo roles. It is expected that in the coming days, this star will give a little momentum to the power film and the film’s earnings will be seen fast. However, the current figures are giving worrying indications for the film.
