Two women officers of the Indian Navy have set out on Sagar Parikrama. This is the second time this mission has been launched by the Navy. In the year 2017, six women officers of the Indian Navy successfully completed their first mission. Naval Chief Admiral Dinesh Tripathi gave the green signal for this circumnavigation and the name of the naval ship used for this mission is INSV Tarini. This ship is 17 meters long and 5 meters wide.

The mission has to be completed in 8 months

The entire mission will have to be completed in 8 months, in which the ship will have to complete a journey of 21600 nautical miles while sailing with the help of wind, facing high seas, extreme weather conditions.

Will visa be required for Sagar Parikrama also?

It does not require a visa, some reports require diplomatic clearance. Information about this mission will be given to them by the Government of India or the concerned ministry of the country in whose territory this naval mission will enter. This process is directly linked to the diplomatic process between the governments of the countries concerned rather than individual visas.

The journey will end where it began

The mission would end at the same port from which it began, with the rule that the mission would not pass through any canal or strait, except that the entire mission would have to cross the equator at least twice. It includes three capes which are Horn Cape of America, Leuven Cape of Australia and Good Hope Cape of South Africa. He has been given very rigorous training for this mission.
