East Champaran, 02 April (HS). A dozen people were injured in a violent clash between two groups in Shyampur village of Adapur police station area of the district on Tuesday. Four women are also among the injured. Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and arrested Akash Yadav in the case.
According to the police, Akash Yadav is also an accused in the murder case of Ajit Singh in Nepal. It is being told that there was already a fight between Rehman Paswan and Suraj Paswan of Shyampur village due to mutual differences, but on Tuesday there was a fierce fight. Earlier too, FIRs were lodged by both the parties in the local police station. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and with the help of local people, all the injured were taken to the local CHC. After first aid under the leadership of the present doctor, Dr. Neeraj Kumar Gupta, the condition of eight of the injured was seen to be critical and they were referred to Motihari Sadar Hospital.
In this regard, Police Station Head Dhananjay Kumar Sharma said that raids are going on to identify and arrest the people involved in the incident, during which some vehicles have also been seized from the spot. Police is taking further action in the matter.
