Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) has once again come to the brink of violence, tension and serious political instability. As per latest inputs, PoK Shubazabad area Two local Kashmiri youth have died tragically in alleged firing by security forces. After this incident, tension has reached its peak in the entire area and violent protests have intensified in many major cities from Muzaffarabad. The angry protesters have made very serious allegations against the repressive security agencies of Pakistan and the puppet government of Muzaffarabad.
“Muzaffarabad government and Pak agencies responsible for the murder”
A joint statement of outrage has been issued by protesters and local civil rights organizations immediately after the incident.
-
Direct Accusation: The statement clearly states that Pakistan’s brutal security agencies and local administration are directly responsible for firing on innocent youth and killing them.
-
Accusation of insensitivity: Expressing grief, the protesters said that till date the remains of the bodies of those killed during the violent clashes in PoK have not been handed over to their families. The government and security forces are openly violating human rights.
The ruling party is busy in election preparations, there is fierce anger among the public.
The biggest anger of the citizens is that when the entire PoK is groaning due to lack of basic facilities, inflation and atrocities of security forces, then the government there is busy in earning political bread instead of healing the wounds of the people.
The protesters alleged that the government sitting in Muzaffarabad is busy in manipulating the upcoming local political activities and election preparations, completely ignoring the entire incident and the cries of the public, which clearly shows that they have no value for the lives of the local people.
“The blood of the martyrs will be accounted for, the ultimatum is over”
The agitators have issued an open warning to the Muzaffarabad government and the Pakistani rulers and declared an all-out fight:
-
Accounts will be taken: The protesters bluntly said that every drop of blood of the innocent martyrs killed will be accounted for and the Kashmiri people will never forget this oppression.
-
Ultimatum ends: Addressing the public, the leaders said that the ultimatum given to the government to improve its policies has now completely expired. Now the time for talks is over and soon the next phase of a massive mass movement will be officially announced.
Will not let the struggle stop: Call of agitating leaders
Top leaders associated with the ongoing civil rights movement in PoK have made an emotional appeal to their supporters and the general public to remain on the streets and continue the struggle. The leaders said, “No matter how many atrocities the Pakistani government and its agencies inflict on us or how many obstacles are placed on the way, this movement is not going to stop until it reaches its destination. The protests will continue till their set goal (attainment of rights).”
Silence of Pak government: At present, neither the main central government of Pakistan nor the Muzaffarabad administration has given any official explanation or reaction on this entire sensitive matter and the death of two youths. The entire Shubazabad and surrounding areas have been converted into a cantonment by the security forces, but despite this, public anger is on the rise.
