Manipur Violence: Violence has erupted once again in Jiribam district of Manipur. Three people have died in indiscriminate firing between Kuki and Meitei groups. The suspects set a house on fire. According to information received from sources, indiscriminate firing is going on at the spot. The attack took place in Nungsekpi of Jiribam district, which is about 7 km away from Jiribam police station.
Earlier on Friday night, suspected extremists had attacked the house of former Chief Minister Merambam Koireng with a rocket. In this incident, an old man died and six people were injured.
A few days ago, three people were injured in another drone bomb attack in Senjam Chirang in Manipur. Manipur Police gave this information in a statement on X. They also said that security forces are deployed in the area. The latest attack comes a day after the Manipur drone attack by multiple drones launched by 'suspected Kuki insurgents' in Koutruk village of Imphal West district.

More than 200 people have been killed in sexual violence in Manipur since May last year and the situation has not returned to normal even after a year.
