The bugle of Lok Sabha elections 2024 has been sounded and all the political parties have started preparations. A strange incident related to elections has come to light from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. A candidate from Jabalpur, who is planning to contest the Lok Sabha elections, reached the collector office on Wednesday carrying coins worth Rs 25,000 to pay as security deposit at the time of nomination.

According to the agency, Vinay said that there was no facility to make payment through digital or online mode in the collector office, so I paid the amount in coins, which facility was available. He said that I want to contest the Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate. Jabalpur District Returning Officer and Collector Deepak Kumar Saxena said the payment made in coins by the prospective candidate was received and a receipt was given to him.

  • Apart from this, in the third phase (May 7), voting will be held in Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha and Bhopal.
  • Whereas in the fourth phase i.e. on May 13, voting will be held in Dewas, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dhar, Indore, Khargone and Khandwa.
