Villages and cities will shine with lamps made by the group on Diwali

Lucknow, 25 October (HS). A different kind of brightness and demand is seen increasing in the rural and urban markets for the products being made by the sisters of the self-help groups operating under the Rural Livelihood Mission on the auspicious occasion of Diwali.

Mission Director of the State Rural Livelihood Mission, Deepa Ranjan, said that thousands of group members are preparing various types of products related to the festival along with designer lamps and candles as per the market demand. Different types of gift hampers of the group's products are being prepared on the lines of cities, the demand for which is continuously increasing. He said that a coffee table book has also been prepared by collecting the products of the group, so that the products of the group members can get recognition at the national and international level. Besides, their products have also been registered for sale on all online platforms.

The Director of the Mission said that a large number of groups are making Ganesh Lakshmi idols and lamps from cow dung and Panchgav, which are completely eco-friendly and equally beautiful to look at.
