The bridge built on the Pain flowing between Musava Bhediyari village and Hata Baksa village of South Mansingha Panchayat of Sugauli block of the district has been demolished for more than ten years. Due to which farmers of both the villages are not able to do farming and transportation as well as children are not able to go to school. We are facing a lot of trouble in going.
Villagers said that MLA, Minister and officials were asked many times for the construction of the bridge but everyone ignored them. Due to which one has to take the help of boat to go from one side to the other throughout the year. It is noteworthy that this bridge was constructed by former minister Ramchandra Sahni in the year 2009. But after just two to three years, the bridge collapsed due to the flood of Sikarhana river. The approach road also broke. Not only this, dozens of people of Musava Bhedihari village, troubled by the problem of the bridge, have migrated and built houses elsewhere. People told that the biggest problem occurs when someone suddenly becomes unwell at night, then one has to face a lot of trouble. People told that water keeps flowing through this pine throughout the year. If a farmer has gone to do farming on the other side, then people have to think about carrying food and water for him. If there are no boats near the bridge, then he has to risk his life.
Former Sarpanch Angad Chaurasia told that there are farmers' fields on the other side of the bridge. Farmers have to take the help of boats to do farming. The biggest problem is at the time of harvest. After harvesting the crops, it takes many days for the farmers to bring them back. Also, children have to face a lot of trouble in going to school. The life of the people of these villages becomes miserable during the rains. The villagers said that local MLA E Shashi Bhushan Singh was informed about the bridge. Many years have passed since he said that the bridge would be constructed in six months. But the situation remains the same. People are still waiting for the bridge to be constructed.
