Villagers' agitation begins regarding appointment of doctors in CHC Beleshwar – News India Live

Local people have opened a front against the government and administration regarding the appointment of doctors and other staff in the Community Health Center Beleshwar. Angry villagers have started an indefinite strike by taking out a procession in the area and protesting against the government. People have warned to continue the agitation until action is taken on their demands.

On Friday, under the auspices of Balganga Senior Citizens Committee and Health Coordination Committee, people of the area reached Beleshwar, where people started an indefinite fast at the main gate of the hospital. Earlier, hundreds of women and men gathered at Beleshwar Mahadev Temple, half a kilometer away from the hospital, took out a procession with Dhol Damau and demanded appointment of doctors and technical staff in the hospital.

Chairperson of the Health Coordination Committee and former NMP President Chamiyala Mamta Panwar and Chairman of the Senior Citizens Committee Chandan Singh Pokhriyal said that after withdrawing from the PPP mode last year, only one physician is posted in the hospital against the 10 approved physicians. Since then the people of the area have been demanding appointment of doctors and X-ray and ultrasound technicians in the hospital. In this regard, a memorandum was also submitted to DM Mayur Dixit in the month of January, on which he had assured the appointment of doctors soon, but even after a month, due to no action in this regard, the people of the area had to take the decision of agitation. . He said that if the government does not take positive action on their demands soon, they will be forced to fast unto death.
