Patna, 04 August (HS). Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Chaudhary said on Sunday that whether the matter is of caste census or increasing the reservation limit for Dalits, extremely backward and backward classes, the attempt by RJD or opposition leaders to take credit is futile and ridiculous.
Vijay Chaudhary was addressing a press conference with state president Umesh Kushwaha and minister Ashok Chaudhary on the occasion of district and block level leaders of RJD of Samastipur district joining JDU. He said that the entire state knows that the decision to conduct caste census was taken in June 2022, when there was an NDA government in Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Then what is RJD looking for credit for?
Vijay Chaudhary said that secondly, the decision to increase the reservation limit was also taken by Nitish Kumar and immediately after that a request was made to the Central Government to include this Act in the Ninth Schedule. Chaudhary said that the Patna High Court has just repealed this Act, against which the Bihar Government is vigorously presenting its case in the Supreme Court. In such a situation, when the law itself has been repealed, the demand to include it in the Ninth Schedule is ridiculous. He said that the opposition leaders are not even able to take care of the facts in the race to take credit.
