Collector Buddhesh Kumar Vaidya on Wednesday, on the occasion of World Environment Day, planted saplings in the Collectorate premises and appealed to the people of the district to participate in making the environment clean and prosperous. He has appealed to all the citizens of the district that we should all work together for the environment and plant as many saplings as possible and protect them so that they take the form of trees. During this, Forest Divisional Officer Omkar Singh Merscole, Additional Collector Anil Kumar Damor, SDM Ajay Pratap Singh Patel and officers and employees of other departments also participated in the plantation program.
Collector Vaidya said that Namami Gange campaign has started from today, the cleaning of Betwa river has started from today itself. The work of conservation and maintenance of all the water conservation projects like ponds, wells, stepwells in all the urban bodies of the district is being done. The work of which has been started with tree plantation in the Collectorate premises. He has appealed to the people of the district to take a pledge for the environment and work in this field to improve the environment.
Additional Collector and Deputy Collectors planted trees
With the aim of promoting the environment, during the plantation program in the Collectorate premises today, Additional Collector Anil Kumar Damor also appealed to the people of the district to plant as many trees as possible and maintain them. During this, Deputy Collector Vineet Tiwari, Deputy Collector Nikita Tiwari and others also participated in the plantation.

Women employees working in various branches of the new collectorate have also come forward and planted saplings in the collectorate premises. During the plantation program, they planted saplings of different species in the collectorate premises and gave the message to everyone to plant as many saplings as possible and preserve them.
Bank officials and employees participated in tree plantation
Officers and employees of State Bank of India also participated in the tree plantation program organized in the Collectorate premises under the Namami Gange campaign. On this occasion, SBI Regional Manager Manoj Kumar Behera, Lead Bank Officer Bhagwan Singh Baghel, former Lead Bank Officer Naresh Meghani and other officers and employees of State Bank of India planted trees in the Collectorate premises.
Speaking on the importance of environment, SBI Regional Manager Behera said that plantation drive is not just about planting trees. It is about creating smiles, promoting a sense of community and making a concrete change in our environment. On the occasion of World Environment Day, State Bank of India is planting trees at various public places.
