With this, Congress formed the government and made Siddaramaiah the Chief Minister.

Amit Shah held a meeting with BJP-JDS leaders

Meanwhile, Amit Shah today held a joint meeting with leaders of Janata Dal (Secular) and state BJP units in Karnataka. Leaders including JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy, chief GT Deve Gowda, BJP leader BS Yediyurappa were present in the meeting.

BJP will contest on 25 seats and JDS on three seats in Karnataka.

Let us tell you that out of total 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka, BJP will contest on 25 seats while JDS will contest on the remaining three seats. BJP has fielded Kumaraswamy's son-in-law and famous cardiologist CN Manjunath from the Bengaluru Rural seat. So Congress D.K. Shivakumar's brother DK Suresh has given the ticket. Voting will be held in the state in two phases on April 26 and May 7, while the results will be declared on June 4.

BJP has been in power in Karnataka for the last four years

Talking about the record of last four years of Karnataka Lok Sabha elections, in 2004 BJP won 18 seats and Congress 8 seats, in 2009 BJP won 19 seats and Congress 6 seats, in 2014 BJP won 17 seats and Congress 9 seats. Won. In 2019, BJP won 25 seats and Congress won only one seat. The Congress initially ruled the state for 10 consecutive terms in the Lok Sabha elections that began in 1952.
