Char Dham Yatra: Char Dham Yatra has started today on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. The doors of Kedarnath Dham have opened. The doors were opened in the presence of devotees amid the cheers of Baba Kedar. Today at exactly 7:15 am, the Panchmukhi Doli of Baba Kedar was ceremoniously installed in the temple.
Along with Kedarnath, the doors of Gangotri and Yamnotri Dham were also opened.
After the opening of the doors, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami offered prayers at Kedarnath Dham and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of all the people of the country and the state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also welcomed the devotees who came to see Baba Kedar. The Chief Minister also participated in the Bhandara program organized in the temple premises. Along with Kedarnath Dham, the doors of Gangotri and Yamnotri Dham have also been opened today. The doors of Badrinath Dham will open on 12th May.
A long line of people was seen to have darshan of Baba Kedar.
It is noteworthy that the temperature of Char Dham is zero degrees. The temperature remains around 0 to 3 degrees during the day and goes down to minus at night. However, the enthusiasm of the devotees is visible. At present around 10 thousand devotees are present in Char Dham. There is a huge crowd of devotees in Gaurikund. Long queues are being seen to have darshan of Baba Kedar. Baba Kedar's cheer keeps echoing in the snow covered mountains and the sky full of dark clouds. Gaurikund is only 16 km away from Kedarnath Dham.
