In the video that went viral on social media, it is seen that Chandrababu Naidu was standing on a bridge near the railway track in Madhuranagar, Vijayawada. Here he was monitoring the flow of Budmeru river with a team of local administration. There were many local people around him. Meanwhile, a full speed train passed by him. However, his security personnel immediately took alertness and removed everyone from the track.

Regarding the situation in the flood affected areas of Andhra Pradesh, Additional Secretary of Home Ministry Sanjeev Kumar Jindal said that NDRF teams have so far rescued 350 people in the state and evacuated about 15,000 people. While 68 people have been rescued in Telangana. About 3200 people have been shifted. 65 helicopters of the Indian Air Force and Navy have also joined the rescue operation and are delivering food and relief material to the affected people.
