Vicious gang committing theft in Kanpur exposed, three history-sheeters arrested

Kanpur, 25 October (Hindustan Reporter). The police of Colonelganj police station arrested three people on Friday, exposing a vicious gang that broke into houses and committed theft. The police team has recovered stolen mobile phones, pistols and cartridges from the possession of the arrested members. Among the arrested accused, 23 criminal cases including murder are registered against one criminal. The active member in the gang is a history-sheeter.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Central Zone Dinesh Tripathi said that among the arrested accused, six criminal cases are registered against Aman alias Arsalan, son of late Salam, resident of Chhote Miyan Hata of Colonelganj police station area, Mohd., resident of Chhote Miyan Hata. A total of 23 criminal cases including murder are registered against Riyaz Qadri's son Munna Majnu. Similarly, 13 criminal cases are registered against his brother Shahzade.

As part of the campaign being run against criminals, Kotwali in-charge Inspector Ravindra Srivastava along with his team was busy searching for suspected criminals. History-sheeter criminal Guddu alias Rehan, who was wanted in a theft case, was caught. During interrogation, he told that a whole gang of people are active who enter houses and steal mobile phones and money. The gang included Riyazata, Sharafat, Shehzade, Mohd. Amil is Aman alias Arslan. On this information, the police team started searching for the said suspects. On Friday, the three vicious criminals were arrested near GIC Inter College and after taking legal action, they were sent to jail.
