Gwalior, 15 December (HS). Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday unveiled the statue of Jiwaji Rao Scindia to commemorate the 60th foundation day of Jiwaji University in Gwalior. On this occasion, he said that after independence, Jiwaji Rao did unforgettable work for public service and education. Maharaj Jiwaji Rao knew that education brings equality, education brings awareness, education brings democracy and constitution. Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister Tulsi Silavat and many university officials and employees were present in the program.
Addressing the program, Vice President Dhankhar said that today will always be an unforgettable day for me. I have seen the politics of three generations of the Scindia family. I got the blessings of Rajmata in 1989, which has brought me to where I am today. Madhavrao was the Madhav (Krishna) of the Parliament. He has left an indelible mark with his work in all ministries. Everyone knows the work he did in the Railway Ministry. His work and charm cannot be expressed in words. Madhavrao used to call first in times of trouble and sorrow. Today I am experiencing Madhav’s light (Jyotiraditya) in the Parliament. Today the world recognizes the service and tradition of the Scindia family.
He said that after independence, Jiwaji Rao did unforgettable work for public service and education. Today is an emotional day for me on the unveiling of his statue. Maharaj Jiwaji Rao knew that education brings equality, education brings awareness, education brings democracy and constitution. Maharaj always had energy to serve the public. Today Jyotiraditya Scindia is also following his footsteps. Scindia has a vision for the future, today there is a need for a concrete vision for the future.
Vice President Dhankhar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made the education policy of the country after thirty years. It will prove to be a milestone for the future of India. Today times have changed. We are strong in technology. Today we export to foreign countries. Youth use their talents. This is the era of AI, but it is important for organizations to be aware in this. Quality education is necessary. The matter of concern is that education should be taken as a service rather than a business. I invite the students of Jiwaji University to the Indian Parliament. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also addressed the program.
