Vice President and Chief Minister reached Varanasi to participate in Dev Diwali festival

Varanasi, 15 November (HS). Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri reached Varanasi on Friday evening to participate in the Dev Diwali festival. The Chief Minister welcomed the Vice President at Namo Ghat. After the welcome, the Vice President inaugurated Namo Ghat. During this, the people present at the ghat welcomed the Vice President by making the traditional slogan of Har-Har Mahadev. The Vice President also showed enthusiasm regarding Dev Diwali festival. He kept greeting the people present at the ghat with folded hands.

Another permanent ghat has been added to the series of ghats of Kashi that are moving in harmony with antiquity and modernity. It is connected as the first model ghat of Varanasi. It extends from Namo Ghat to Adikeshav Ghat (about 1.5 kilometers). The structure of the ghat and the Namaste sculpture along with international facilities are attracting tourists. This will be the first ghat to connect water, land and sky, where helicopters can also be landed. Floating CNG station, open air theatre, pond, bathing pond on floating jetty and changing room have also been constructed here. There are many other facilities like yoga place, water sports, children’s play area, cafeteria and many more. This is the first ghat in Varanasi, which has been made disabled friendly. The reconstruction of Namo Ghat has been done in two phases. It has been constructed in 81000 square meters at a cost of Rs 91.06 crore.
