New Tehri, 08 July (HS). Vice Chancellor of Shri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Prof. NK Joshi made a courtesy call on the Governor on Monday. During this, he informed the Governor about the academic progress of the university and future action plans.
Vice Chancellor of Shridev Suman Uttarakhand University Prof NK Joshi met Chancellor Governor Gurmeet Singh on Monday and apprised him of the activities of the university. While informing the Governor about the excellent work and innovative efforts of the university in the last one year, Prof Joshi informed the Governor about the new courses started by the university, innovations, training programs, agreements made with national-international institutions as well as the academic progress and future action plans of the university. Vice Chancellor Prof Joshi also provided information about seminars, teacher development programs and research related activities organized under various departments of the university.
While talking about the achievements of the university, Prof Joshi said that a total of 24 patents were filed by the university, out of which 20 patents have been published. 4 patents have been approved by the Patent Department of the Government of India. 15 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed with national-international institutions. 6 international conferences, 5 faculty development programs, 8 entrepreneurship development programs and 10 workshops have been organized. He also gave information about the construction work going on in the university and campus Rishikesh. He told that under the Devbhoomi Udyamita Yojana run by the Higher Education Department, 10 higher education institutions of the state have been selected for the Center of Excellence. This also includes the Rishikesh campus of Shridev Suman University. Appreciating the work of the university, the Governor asked Vice Chancellor Prof Joshi to continue his efforts.
