Veteran batsman becomes 'new Sultan of Multan', breaks Sehwag's record by scoring triple century

PAK vs ENG: 25-year-old England player Harry Brook scored a triple century in the first match of the three-match Test series against Pakistan in Multan, breaking Virender Sehwag's record of 309 runs at this ground in 2004. When Harry Brook came to bat in this match, the England team had lost three wickets at the score of 249. Brook became the sixth player to score a triple century for England

Harry Brook became the sixth England batsman to score a triple century in Test cricket, the first England player to achieve the feat since 1990. Apart from this, Brook became the second youngest player after Len Houghton to score a triple century for England.

Harry Brook holds the record for scoring the second-fastest triple century in Test cricket, surpassing Virender Sehwag, who scored 300 off 278 balls in the Chennai Test against South Africa in 2008. Additionally, Harry Brook became the 5th player to score a triple century against Pakistan in Test cricket, before him only Virender Sehwag had scored a triple century at the same ground.

Joe Root also played an inning of 262 runs
