Vastu Shastra: Do not place mirrors in these 4 places in your house, otherwise you will lose happiness, peace and progress.

In Sanatan culture and ancient Vaastu Shastra, special importance of every item and its place in the house has been given. Mirrors are generally used to enhance the beauty of homes and make rooms look spacious, but do you know that a mirror installed at the wrong place in the house can block positive energy and promote negativity? According to Vastu Shastra, mirror is not only a means of showing reflection, but it also directly affects the energy flow of the house. Let us know at which places in the house according to Vastu, mirrors should not be installed even by mistake.

1. Avoid placing a mirror right in front of the bed

Often people are fond of placing a big mirror right in front of or next to the bed in their bedroom. However, it is considered extremely inauspicious in Vastu Shastra.

It is believed that this mirror reflects back the energy released from the body while sleeping, which causes problems like mental stress, reduced quality of sleep and lethargy. Apart from this, having a mirror in front of the bed in the couple’s bedroom can cause distance and discord in their relationships.

2. Do not place the mirror exactly in front of the main door

The main door of the house is considered the main path for entry of positive energy. According to the rules of Vastu, a mirror should never be placed right in front of the main door or in line with it.

If a mirror is placed in front of the main door, the positive energy entering the house gets reflected and goes back out. As a result, an atmosphere of financial crisis, unnecessary expenditure and family unrest starts forming in the house.

3. Never keep broken or cracked glass in the house.

You must have often heard your elders saying that you should never look at your face in a broken or cracked mirror. Vaastu Shastra fully confirms this.

Keeping cracked or broken glass in the house causes negative energy to stagnate and the Vaastu defect in the house becomes serious. Looking at the face in such a mirror can cause confusion, mental disturbance, lack of self-confidence and obstacles in career. If there is any such mirror in your house, then it should be thrown out of the house immediately.

4. Do not place mirror in south or south-west direction

According to Vastu Shastra, the walls of the north and east directions of the house are considered best for installing mirrors, because these directions symbolize positivity and progress.

On the contrary, mirrors should never be placed in the south or south-west direction. These directions are associated with heavy energy and stability, and having a mirror here upsets the energy balance of the house. Apart from this, keep in mind that in the bathroom, the mirror should not directly reflect the toilet seat, as this is considered a major flaw in Vastu. A mirror installed in the right direction and place opens the doors of happiness, prosperity and development in the house.
