Rishikesh, 05 April (HS). On the occasion of World Health Day, various programs were organized on Friday under the aegis of the Department of Community and Family Medicine at AIIMS, Rishikesh. Focus group discussions and seminars were organized at various first aid centers on the first day of the two-day programme.
On the occasion of World Health Day, a two-day program was formally started by the CFM Department under the guidance of Professor Dr. Meenu Singh, Executive Director of the Institute, at AIIMS Rishikesh on Friday.
On this occasion, CFM Department Head Professor Vartika Saxena said that it is important to achieve the goal of better health for everyone. Under the program, in view of this year's theme of WHO, a focus group discussion was held on the topic “My health, my rights, come together and raise our voice” in primary health centers, police stations and Raiwala. In this group discussion, patients, attendants, health workers and other citizens discussed various points. During this, they had a group discussion on the topics given by the doctors, the public's views on mental health, accessibility, affordability and acceptability of health services to the general public, our fundamental rights and principles, positive aspects and obstacles to good health, etc.
On the other hand, in the presentation organized on the theme of My Health My Right in the Department of Community and Family Medicine of the Institute, Senior Resident Dr. Pallavi explained the purpose of celebrating World Health Day, this year's theme and why better health is our fundamental right. Gave lecture on various points.
