Saharsa, 18 November (HS). The preparations made for the PACS elections in four phases from November 26 were reviewed on Monday by District Election Officer cum District Magistrate Vaibhav Chaudhary. PACS election is scheduled in Saur Bazar/Sonvarsha on 03.12 in the fifth phase in Banma Ithari. Preparations made for PACS election were reviewed during the meeting organized through video conferencing.
Blocks related to the first phase, such as Kahra, Satar Kataiya, have been instructed to complete the election related preparations on time by following the instructions of the authority in letter and spirit. All other blocks have also been instructed to the same effect. The District Magistrate has given instructions to all the senior While visiting the concerned block, the officers have been instructed to supervise and review the preparations being done at the block level for the PACS elections. In the course of the review, all the block development officers have been instructed to follow the prescribed standards at the place marked for counting of votes at the block level. Instructions have been given to make necessary arrangements.
In the meeting, the work done so far by various cells formed for the purpose of smooth conduct of PACS elections like: Personnel Cell, Training Cell, Vehicle Cell, Material Cell, Ballot and Ballot Box Cell, Law and Order Cell and other cells was reviewed and determined. Instructions have been given for proper discharge of responsibilities. The training cell has been instructed to complete the training related to polling personnel without any delay and the vehicle cell has been instructed to take necessary action for proper availability of vehicles for the election by coordinating with the concerned block.
