Varanasi, August 21 (HS). Trade associations have jointly announced a Varanasi bandh on Thursday in protest against the atrocities and violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. To make the bandh successful, a meeting of Hindu Raksha Samiti was held with the office bearers of trader organizations in a private palace in Piplani Katra on Wednesday. In the meeting, the outline of the bandh was discussed in the presence of all the Central Trade Boards of Banaras, Mahanagar Udyog Vyapar Samiti, Varanasi Nagar Udyog Vyapar Mandal, Varanasi Vyapar Mandal, Kashi Vyapar Pratinidhi Mandal, Varanasi Vyapar Mandal Kashi Province, All India Udyog Vyapar Mandal and President and General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Goldsmith Association. It was decided that all the traders of their organization will gather at the main gate (Rudraksha Nagar Nigam) of Shaheed Udyan in Sigra at 4 pm on Thursday. After a huge gathering here, an outrage march will be taken out.

The officials said that the way Hindus are being tortured in the neighbouring country, there is deep resentment among the traders.

Sanjay Singh, general secretary of the drug sellers committee Varanasi, said that wholesale and retail drug shops will also remain closed on Thursday. Jitendrananda Saraswati of All India Saint Committee, business leader Prem Mishra, Ashok Jaiswal, Ajit Singh Bagga, Sanjeev Singh Billu, Pramod Agrahari, Sunny Johar, Rakesh Jain, Kavindra Jaiswal, Anil Keshari, Prateek Gupta, Tilakraj Mishra, Bhagwan Das Jaiswal, Ravi Shankar Singh, Satyanarayan Seth, Shailendra Sahu, Santosh Agarwal, Krishna Kumar Jaiswal, Kirti Pandey etc. were present in the meeting.
