Vande Bharat Sleeper: India's semi high speed train Vande Bharat Express is currently the pride of Indian Railways. The Railway Ministry is trying to run this train in every state. After chair seat, now Railways has started work on its sleeper variant. Preparations have been made to provide better facilities in Vande Bharat Sleeper train than Rajdhani Express and Tejas Express trains. Vande Bharat Express sleeper train is being manufactured by BEML. Trial of the train can be started soon.

A media report said that the next part of Vande Bharat sleeper train will be like 'Eagle' in terms of design. That means its shape will be pointed from the front. One reason for such a design would be to reduce friction. In other words, the front part of Vande Bharat sleeper train will look like a bird.

The coaches of Vande Bharat sleeper train will be very comfortable. If we talk about its colour, it can be yellow, cream and wood coloured. A staircase has been made for the passengers to climb up and reach the upper berth. It features sensor-based lighting, energy-efficient overhead lighting, and a night light with straps on the floor for easy movement. So that the passengers do not have to face any kind of problem inside the coach at night. The Vande Bharat sleeper train prototype will have 16 coaches. It will have 11 AC 3 tier coaches, 4 AC 2 tier coaches and one AC first class coach.

The train has berths for a total of 823 passengers. 611 in AC 3 tier, 188 in AC 2 tier and 24 in AC First. Passenger facilities have been provided. Indian Railways is considering cushioning on side berths in Vande Bharat Sleeper AC 3 tier coaches. The cushioning on its berths will be better as compared to Rajdhani Express. If we talk about speed, the new Vande Bharat sleeper train will run at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour. The prototype will be tested at a speed of 180 kmph.
