Vande Bharat Express Train: There is big news for those who like to travel by Vande Bharat Express train. Now Tripura is also going to get this medium distance superfast train. Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik gave this information on Saturday. He said that Northeast Frontier Railway is working on electrification of tracks in this regard. North East Frontier Railway (NFR) has started the work of electrification of the existing railway network from Dharmanagar to Agartala. It is believed that it can be completed by June or July. The Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Social Empowerment gave this information during an election rally in Dhanpur. He said, 'After electrification, Vande Bharat Express train will be extended up to Agartala. After this it will take only 4-5 hours to go from Agartala to Guwahati.
Pratima Bhowmik said, 'It took 44 years for previous governments to bring trains from Dharmanagar to Churaibari, whereas it took only 2 years for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide broad gauge railway service to Agartala. It is known that this facility was made available till Sabroom only in 2020. Sabroom is located in the southern part of the state. The BJP leader said that I met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav regarding railway projects in the north-eastern states. During this time it came to light that the electrification work up to Agartala would be completed by June or July. At present it takes 12 hours to travel by train from Agartala to Guwahati.
Bhowmik praised the central government fiercely
The BJP leader said that development in the direction of railway connectivity has been possible because of PM Modi. Bhowmik said, 'The state has received 6 universities in the last 6 years apart from various welfare schemes like PMAY, PM-Kishan, Ayushman Bharat and Jan Dhan Yojana.' It is known that in the 2019 elections, Bhowmik had won from Tripura West Lok Sabha constituency by more than 3 lakh votes. Despite this, Bhowmik has not got the ticket this time. He also won the assembly elections from Dhanpur last year. However, she resigned soon thereafter for unknown reasons and remained a Minister of State.
