Keeping in mind the wishes of the passengers, Railways is starting Vande Bharat in different states of the country.
What is the timing of Vande Bharat Special train?
Railways is going to run Vande Bharat special trains on the same routes on which this train has already been started. According to The Hindu report, Southern Railway has announced the operation of Vande Bharat Special trains between Chennai Central and Coimbatore on March 5 and 12. This special train will leave Chennai at 7.10 am and reach Coimbatore at 2.15 pm. In return, this train will leave Coimbatore at 3.05 pm and reach Chennai Central at 21.50 pm. The train will have eight coaches and will stop at Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode and Tiruppur.
Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat was started last year
Railways had started Vande Bharat train between Chennai and Coimbatore in April last year. The running of this train has reduced the travel time between the capital of Tamil Nadu and the western industrial city. In April last year, PM Modi had flagged off this train from Chennai Central Railway Station.
It completes its journey in 5 hours 50 minutes. In this way, this train is the fastest train running between the two cities. According to the Railways, the operation of this train resulted in saving of more than one hour in travel time. This train, connecting two cities of Tamil Nadu, is equipped with indigenous automatic train protection system 'Kavach'. Passenger security has been enhanced by installing CCTV cameras and automatic sliding doors in all coaches. The train also has modern amenities like handicapped-friendly toilets, seat handle numbers in Braille, LED lights and 360-degree rotating seats, among other features.
