Purnia, 17 October (HS). Under the aegis of Sanskrit Department, Purnia College, Purnia, a seminar was organized on the topic 'Relevance of Valmiki Ramayana in the present times' on Valmiki Jayanti. The topic was initiated by Dr. Savita Ojha, Head of the Department of Sanskrit. He said that Valmiki's Ramayana is the foundation of religion, artha, kama and moksha. It is a storehouse of diverse knowledge like theology, Tantra Shastra, Ayurveda, astrology, political science, economics etc. This Adi Kavya, existing in the form of word proof, is a product of not only Indian but also foreign Ramkatha.
As the chief guest, Dr. Mithilesh Mishra, former Principal of Purnia College and former Chairman of the Culture Department, said that Gayatri is a supernatural power in the 24000 lamentations of Ramayana.
