Saharsa, 04 July (HS). The Saharsa Zonal Office of the Commercial Tax Department has achieved a great achievement by achieving the target of GST collection of 114.48% in June 2024. Against the target of Rs 10.77 crore, the Zonal Office has collected GST of Rs 12.33 crore. This information was given by District Magistrate Vaibhav Choudhary.

He said that this achievement is the highest in the whole of Bihar from the point of view of achieving the target. This success is a matter of pride for Saharsa district and the whole of Bihar. This is the result of excellent efforts of Saharsa Zonal Office of Commercial Tax Department and taxpayers. I congratulate all the officers, employees and taxpayers for this achievement. Zonal in-charge Deputy Commissioner Praveen Kumar and his team have made an invaluable contribution in this success.

Kumar played an important role in achieving the target with his tireless hard work, dedication and excellent leadership of his team. District Magistrate Kumar and his dedicated team were heartily congratulated for their hard work and dedication. Apart from this, Deputy Commissioner Dadan Kumar Singh, Assistant Commissioner Indu Chauhan and Himanshu Shekhar have also contributed significantly in this achievement. These three officers guided the team using their skills, experience and knowledge and played an important role in achieving the target. DM heartily congratulated these three officers for their excellent service.

The District Magistrate said that the achievement of any target is not possible without the cooperation of taxpayers. The taxpayers of Saharsa have made a significant contribution in GST collection. I thank all the taxpayers for their cooperation and timely tax payment. The advent of GST has provided a lot of convenience to businessmen. All work in GST is done online, which saves a lot of time. I urge all businessmen to take advantage of the online facility and pay tax on time. He said that I believe that Saharsa district will make continuous progress in GST collection.
