Uttarakhand Vikas Manch donates lamp in Ganga in memory of state agitators

Haridwar, 09 November (HS). On the 24th State Foundation Day, workers of Uttarakhand Vikas Manch, along with representatives of social organizations, paid homage to the state agitators at Alaknanda Ghat by lighting a lamp in the lap of Mother Ganga.

Provincial President of Uttarakhand Vikas Manch, Sanjay Chopra said that a garden and museum should be built near the Ganga in the religious city of Haridwar in the memory of the state agitators. He said that with the joint efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, development work is being done with determination to promote tourism and pilgrimage in the state of Uttarakhand, which is commendable.

Those who donated lamps were Manish Sharma, Nitish Aggarwal, Sachin Rajput, Virendra Singh, Ashok Kumar, Prabhat, Ramesh Kori, Omprakash Bhatia, Jai Singh Bisht, Naeem Salmani, Vijay Gupta, Poonam Makhan, Kamini Mishra etc.
